Welcome to the ESR Recruiting & Retention! WHO WE AREAlpine and Nordic patrols around Lake Tahoe that serve 13 resorts and the National Forest Service. QUALIFICATIONSAble to ski or board on any run in any condition at the area you want to patrol, certification in OEC (Outdoor Emergency Care—120 hour class), current professional CPR card, and commitment to care for sick and injured snow sport guests. HOW TO PROCEEDBegins with a two year commitment to training. First year is finding a patrol, doing a ski/board check and mutual agreement to become a patroller at the area (See ESR Patrols to set up a visit). Second is successful completion of an OEC class and then a ski season of candidate training. BENEFITSDoing what we love: ski and board while helping others. Most patrols provide passes for family members, lessons and equipment discount. EXCEPTIONS/OPTIONSSome resorts have auxiliary medical care providers (RNs, MD's, advanced EMT's), Host programs (mainly guest services). RETENTIONPatrols are looking for a 20 year commitment and will help in any way to make sure you are in the patrol activity that is best suited for you.
